Reflections of Love
When I first came to Mountaintop Faith Ministries in 2000, I had experienced several
painful and disappointing situations within the church. I was hesitant to connect with
another church family and unsure if I would ever feel comfortable opening my heart and
trusting church leadership again. Now, 26 years later, I can truly say that MFM has
become much more than a church to me, it has become my family.
Under the leadership of Pastor Clinton House and Dr. Mary L. House, I have experienced
genuine guidance, unconditional love, and consistent support. Their leadership has
helped me grow as a father, a leader, and a man of God. Through their teachings and
example, my faith has been stretched, strengthened, and challenged in ways that have
helped shape the person I am today.
One moment that will always stay with me occurred when the mother of my son passed
away. During one of the most painful and difficult times our family had ever experienced,
I received a phone call from Pastor and Dr. House in the middle of the night. They were
calling simply to make sure that my family and I were okay. That phone call meant the
world to us. It showed me that their care extended far beyond the walls of the church and
that we were not alone. They made sure that a culture of care and community surrounded
my family. From mental health support and prayer to continued encouragement and
ongoing support, they were present for us in every way that mattered.
Pastor and Dr. House have shown me what compassionate, faith-filled leadership looks
like. Their ministry has helped restore my trust in church leadership and deepen my
relationship with God. As we celebrate 36 years of love, legacy, and overflow, I am
grateful to honor two leaders whose ministry has had a lasting impact on my life and
family.
