Reflections of Love
With over twenty years of serving at MFM we have been
given countless opportunities to serve, build
relationships, share our gifts, and pour into the lives of
others. As we reflect on this journey, we are grateful for
the people and experiences that have made this
ministry such a meaningful part of our lives.
When I (Carlotta) first became a part of the ministry, I
was immediately drawn to the warmth and kindness of
the people. What began as a welcoming place became
a community filled with relationships that have stood
the test of time. Over the years, our friendships have
deepened, new connections have been formed, and
many of the people we have encountered have become
like family.
Pastor and 1st Lady have also been a meaningful part
of our journey. We deeply respect their longevity, their
commitment to the vision, and the importance they
place on family. One of my fondest memories took
place while we were dating. First Lady graciously
spent time having lunch with me and listened as I
shared my thoughts about my relationship. Through
that conversation, she helped me recognize that I was
indeed ready to get married. When I later introduced
Alfred to Pastor for the first time, Pastor House simply
gave me a quiet nod of approval. It was a small
moment, but one that has remained special to me
throughout the years.
We have been blessed with opportunities to serve in
different capacities. Together, we have led the college
ministry and baptism ministry. Alfred serves as a
Deacon, and I have the privilege of serving on the
worship team. We are especially grateful for Pastor
House giving us the opportunity to use our gifts,
talents, experiences, and even our own financial
challenges to encourage and empower others.
As we celebrate 36 years of love, legacy, and overflow,
we celebrate the lives touched, relationships formed,
and opportunities to serve that continue to make this
ministry special. We are grateful for the role this
ministry has played in our lives and for the privilege of
contributing to its legacy.
Most of all, we are grateful that this ministry has
expanded the meaning of family for us in ways we
never imagined.
